Principal Lawyer

Katherine is the driving force behind Taylor Legal’s commitment to making the law accessible, practical, and deeply personal. As Principal Lawyer and Director, she brings together more than a decade of experience across wills and estate planning, deceased estates, conveyancing, commercial law, and family law — helping individuals, families, and businesses protect what matters most.

Known for her clear, jargon-free advice and her genuine care for clients, Katherine takes a holistic approach to every matter. She works closely with accountants, financial planners, and other professionals to ensure her clients’ legal affairs are aligned with their broader life and business goals. Her leadership extends beyond legal work — she is passionate about mentoring her team, building meaningful client relationships, and driving innovation across Taylor Legal’s growing regional practice network.

Outside of work, Katherine is actively involved in her community Netball Club and a proud supporter of local sporting and small-business initiatives. She loves spending time with her family and walking her loyal sidekick, Mack the Heeler, along the Surf Coast.

Consultant

Michael is the former Proprietor of Vines Lawyers. He now works in the practice as a Consultant on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 

He is pleased to see clients in regard to the preparation of Wills/Powers of Attorney and Probate matters. He is a long-standing resident of Ocean Grove having lived in the town with his wife and family for over 35 years. He is a former president of the local football and netball club and the Bellarine Football League. He has also been president of cricket clubs in Geelong and a heritage railway in Castlemaine. 

Now that Katherine is the Proprietor of the business Michael has moved to semi-retirement and looks forward to spending more time with his family and grandchildren. He has interests in sport and is a steam train enthusiast.

Special Counsel

Jade joined Taylor Legal after relocating to the surf coast with her family.  

Jade’s career path to date is quite unique – after spending her teenage years as a professional tennis player on the international women’s circuit, Jade spent five years as the in-house Legal Counsel of a European holding company.

Following her return to Australia, Jade practiced in litigation and family law at a Melbourne based firm where she was made a Partner in 2020.

With a background in business and commercial litigation, Jade prioritises reaching a commercial resolution for her family law clients’. However, it is through her empathetic approach and focus on client wellbeing that allows Jade’s clients to feel supported and understood during a difficult time.

Lawyer

Olivia was born in England, moving to Australia in 2010 and whilst Olivia predominantly works in Wills and Deceased Estates, she has knowledge in a variety of aspects of law.  

Olivia has experience in Wills and Deceased Estates, Property Law and Conveyancing. Olivia's passion is to assist clients in growing their legacy and ensuring that it is protected.

Olivia’s favourite way to spend her free time is with her fiancé and two German Shepherds, Cosmo and Mango, cooking up a storm in the kitchen or paying a visit to her local yoga studio.

Lawyer

Charmain joined Taylor Legal after practicing in a Melbourne based firm where she has acted for clients in relation to a wide variety of estates ranging from modest to large and complex estates.

Her practice focuses prominently on probate and estate administration with an emergent practice in estate planning, estate litigation and family law.

Charmain is cognisant of the sensitive nature of working with clients facing the death of a loved one or the breakdown of a relationship and uses a compassionate and honest approach to secure the most favourable outcomes for her clients.

Prior to practicing as an estates solicitor, Charmain worked in Criminal Law and Civil Litigation.

Outside of work, Charmain enjoys spending time with her two daughters, partner, and two fur babies Coco and Xylo.

Conveyancing Manager

William joins the team as our Conveyancing Manager, with extensive knowledge and experience in both Victoria and NSW Conveyancing. 

Will started out his career in Mildura where he gained his experience in a cross-border town, making the move to Geelong to further his career. Will takes great pride in his work and understands that for some this process can be quite stressful, therefore he enjoys being there every step of the way to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. 

Outside of work, Will enjoys spending time with his partner and friends, supporting his beloved football team and playing cricket in the Summer for the Surf Coast Suns Cricket Club. 

Client Services Manager

With over 30 years of experience in the legal industry, Natasha brings an exceptional depth of knowledge and a genuine passion for client care to her role as Client Services Manager. Having worked with both local and Melbourne firms, she has developed extensive expertise across property law, wills, and powers of attorney, and is known for her ability to make every client feel supported and understood.

Natasha’s calm, personable approach and her commitment to building lasting relationships make her an invaluable part of the Taylor Legal team. Whether she’s guiding clients through their legal journey or ensuring our service experience is seamless, Natasha’s warmth and professionalism shine through.

Outside of work, Natasha enjoys spending time with her family, going to the theatre, tending to her garden, and proudly supporting the Portarlington Football Netball Club.

Law Clerk

Demelza joins our team from Vines Lawyers. Demelza is a Paralegal with over 18 years’ experience. 

Starting out in a major Geelong law firm then moving to a local firm after starting a family in her hometown of Ocean Grove. 

Demelza has vast knowledge and experience having worked in all areas of law over her years of employment. 

Demelza’s favourite way to spend her free time is hitting the gym or fitness classes and spending time with her family.

Probate Clerk

Allison joins the team from Vines Lawyers. With 30 years of experience in the legal field, Allison began as a Trainee Office Junior. Over the years, she have gained expertise in various areas, including reception, deeds clerk, accounts clerk, conveyancing, mortgage preparation, and estates, with around 15 years of experience in estates.

Out of work, she have been involved with Scouts for the last 10 years, having held various positions, currently being the District Leader Joey Scouts. She also enjoy going to the football with her children, camping and reading.

Legal Assistant

Bridget joins our team as a vibrant and eager legal assistant. Bridget is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws/Arts at Deakin and has an interest in all areas of law. 

She is currently assisting the family law and wills and estate team with the hopes of expanding into other areas of law over her career.

Outside of work Bridget enjoys Pilates, walking her dog Ziggy and travelling. Bridget has travelled to Indonesia for an exchange program, Japan and Vietnam.

 Chief Happiness Officer 

Mack’s approach to office management is simple: spread joy, stay curious, and accept all pats. His schedule is flexible — appearing every few weeks to perform important tasks such as morale boosting, client greetings, and biscuit quality control. 

He’s a loyal team member who brings balance to the serious side of law. 

His motto: Work hard, nap harder. Clients adore him, staff rely on him, and no one ever leaves without a smile (or a bit of fur on their pants).
