He is a long-standing resident of Ocean Grove having lived in the town with his wife and family for over 35 years. He is a former president of the local football and netball club and the Bellarine Football League. He has also been president of cricket clubs in Geelong and a heritage railway in Castlemaine.
Now that Katherine is the Proprietor of the business Michael has moved to semi-retirement and looks forward to spending more time with his family and grandchildren. He has interests in sport and is a steam train enthusiast.
